March is a time to reflect on those harebrained resolutions of January, and take stock of your progress in the first few months of the New Year. Personally, I’m working on being more patient at work, increasing my running frequency and duration, and touching base with family more regularly.
In 2014 at YNPNdc, we’ve resolved to diversify our funding to improve the organization’s sustainability. Our goal is to leverage the support of individuals to deepen our services and improve upon the great foundation of our network. To support one of YNPNdc’s resolutions for this year, we are pleased to announce the first matching grant in the organization’s ten-year history!
Awarded thanks to a generous contribution from The Morris & Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation, gifts made to YNPNdc by an individual donor through October 2014 will be matched 1:1 by the Cafritz Foundation for a total of up to $5,000 in contributions. But there is one caveat: we must raise the full $5,000 in order for the funds to be matched. The investment from the Cafritz Foundation ups the ante for YNPNdc’s goal, and will allow us the opportunity to continue helping you build your professional skills, grow your network, and remain connected to the ever-growing DC nonprofit sector.
Throughout the next eight months, we’ll provide updates on YNPNdc’s progress toward the matching grant from The Morris & Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation, and we hope that your connection to the organization will grow as well. 2014 is your year, and we’d love to help you meet your work resolutions!
You’ll be hearing from us about this exciting opportunity again in the future. But if you want to get a jump on your resolution to support YNPNdc, please donate online today.
