Mentors Needed for DC Public Schools CEO Program

District of Columbia Public Schools is in need of mentors for its Competitive Employment Opportunities (CEO) Program!

CEO is a mentoring program that matches high school-aged students with disabilities with a working professional/mentor in the student’s career field of interest. Students will collaborate with their mentors once, every two weeks to learn about the mentor’s organization, career, and steps students can take to pursue their post-secondary goals.

For the duration of the program, students will complete a career-focused project that will be presented at the conclusion of the program in June. This program seeks mentors who will also be willing to host their mentees for an 80-hour internship through their organizations during the summertime following the program. The CEO Program begins this January 2022 and will conclude in June 2022.

If you or someone you know may be interested in mentoring a high school student this school year for the CEO Program, please reach out to dominic.dellorso@k12.dc.gov or visit https://dcpsceo.com/ for more information.
